A Proven Record of Community LEADERSHIP
A 27-year resident of DeKalb, Rebecca and her husband Dick Williams have raised their two daughters in Brookhaven. For two decades, Rebecca has served this community. She was the Byrnwyck homeowners’ association president for more than 10 years, co-chaired the zoning committee for the Ashford Alliance, served two terms on the Board of Trustees at St. Martin’s Episcopal School, chaired committees at the St. Pius X and Marist schools and been a volunteer at her church as well as for Murphey Candler sports teams and local charities. Rebecca was also on the board of Citizens for North DeKalb and served as DeKalb Commissioner Elaine Boyer’s appointee to the Zoning Appeals Board.

As a fiscal conservative and small business owner, Rebecca pledges to keep taxes low and to be a good steward of taxpayers’ dollars. She will build consensus, protect our neighborhoods and help attract businesses that enhance the city. As an award-winning national correspondent for ABC News, Rebecca spent her career getting all the facts and listening to all sides. She was thorough and accountable to a national audience. As a reporter for the Dunwoody Crier, Rebecca researched the pros and cons of Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and Brookhaven and published her work in a series “The Road To Brookhaven.” No one has worked harder to understand all the issues Brookhaven will face.
